Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the post of CHO, candidates must meet the following academic and registration requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) from a recognized nursing institution.
OR
- B.Sc. in Community Health (CH) from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ and Health Visitors Council.
Registration:
- Candidates must be registered with the Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ and Health Visitors’ Council (ANMHVC) or the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam.
- A valid registration certificate must be submitted during application.
Special Note for Nursing Students
Candidates who have passed B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from 2020 onwards and completed the Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) as part of the curriculum can apply. They must furnish a certificate from the principal of their nursing college in the prescribed format (Appendix I) verifying this.
