The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has announced 4,987 vacancies for Security Assistant/Executive posts in 2025. Candidates with a Class 10 qualification and domicile of the respective state can apply online from July 26 to August 17, 2025. Selection involves a CBT, descriptive test, and interview.

Education

Tier-I: Objective Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Final merit list based on combined marks from Tier I, Tier II, and Interview, followed by document verification and medical exam
  • Grade Pay Level‑3 of 7th CPC: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 basic pay, plus allowances such as a 20% Special Security Allowance.
  • Additional benefits: Holiday duty compensation (up to 30 days/year), and other central allowances
  • Security Assistants (Group C) are involved in intelligence gathering, surveillance, translation, local language liaison, identity verification tasks across internal security operations
