4.1 Application Form

  • Download the Advertisement & Application Form from the official website.
  • Fill it in the prescribed format, affix recent passport‑sized colored photo in the designated space, and sign across it. Attach four (4) copies of the same photograph stapled in the top right of the form, signed and named on the back .

4.2 Required Documents

Attach self‑attested copies of:

  • Class VIII pass certificate
  • Mark sheets
  • Age proof
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Certificates for claimed special skills
  • Employment Exchange registration certificate (mandatory for those not already in service)

4.3 Mode & Timeline for Submission

  • No application fee is required.
  • Deadline: Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on 30 August 2025.
  • By hand submission: Drop box available at the office of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Darrang, from 01 August to 30 August 2025, between 10 AM to 5 PM on working days .

5.1 Written Examination

5.2 Viva‑Voce

  • Candidates will be shortlisted in a written exam ratio of 1:10, i.e. the top 20 scorers from the written exam (since 2 posts) will be called for the viva.
  • Viva‑Voce Marks: 30 marks
  • Final selection based on combined marks (written 50 + viva 30 = total 80).
  • Tie‑Breakers: Higher written score gets priority; if still tied, older candidate gets preference .

5.3 Result & Interview

  • List of eligible candidates along with exam/interview schedule will be uploaded on the official website.
  • No separate call letter will be issued.
  • Venue for both written exam and interview: Darrang, Mangaldai (date and venue to be informed via website) .
  • The newly selected candidates may be placed on probation for two (2) years.
  • If performance is unsatisfactory during probation, the Authority may dismiss the candidate.
  • Appointments and service conditions will follow relevant Assam ROP Rules and judiciary norms.
  • The appointing authority reserves the right to modify, alter or cancel any terms without prior notice.
  • No TA/DA is admissible for attending the written exam or viva.
