SIDBI Recruitment 2025 invites online applications for 76 Officer vacancies in Grade A and B across General, Legal, and IT streams. Eligible candidates can apply from 14 July to 11 August 2025. Selection involves online exams, descriptive tests, and interviews.

The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has released Advertisement No. 03/Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’/2025‑26, inviting online applications for recruitment of 76 officers in Grade A (Assistant Manager, General Stream) and Grade B (Manager, General, Legal & IT specialist streams)

Age Limits

  • Grade A (Assistant Manager): 21–30 years (born between 14 July 1995 and 15 July 2004, inclusive)
  • Grade B (Manager): 25–33 years (born between 14 July 1992 and 15 July 2000)

Age relaxation applies as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ex‑servicemen candidates

Educational Qualifications

  • Grade A (General): Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Maths, Statistics, Business Administration, or Engineering with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). Alternatively, professional qualification such as CA, CS, CMA, CFA, or full-time MBA/PGDM (2‑year) from a recognized institute is acceptable
  • Grade B (General): Similar requirement plus ~5 years relevant work experience in RBI, SEBI, NABARD, NHB, SIDBI, SCBs, or related sectors
  • Grade B (Legal): LLB with minimum 50% marks plus ~5 years of legal experience in financial institutions or banks
  • Grade B (IT): BE/BTech in CS/IT/Electronics or MCA (min. 60%) plus ~5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, security, AI/ML, Full Stack, etc.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Some stream roles (Grade B) require 5 years of post‑qualification experience in the relevant domain. For Grade A, experience is preferred but not mandatory if academic qualifications are met

Reservations

Standard reservation is applicable: SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories as per government rules

  • Grade A (Assistant Manager): Basic pay starts at around ₹55,200, and gross monthly CTC (including allowances, HRA, DA) is approximately ₹19–21 lakh per annum depending on posting
  • Grade B (Manager): Basic pay reaching escalated scale, with gross CTC around ₹23.5–26 lakh per annum \
  • Monthly gross salary for Grade A employees is often cited to reach ₹1.0–1.15 lakh, including perks and allowances

Role & Responsibilities

  • Grade A (General): MSME credit appraisal, business development, KYC/due diligence, disbursements, credit monitoring, NPA handling, recovery, and customer relationship management
  • Grade B General: Higher-level responsibilities with leadership, portfolio management, policy formulation, and strategic decision-making.
  • Grade B Legal: Provide legal advice, draft notices, manage SARFAESI cases, due diligence on property/legal documents, litigation related to recovery
  • Grade B IT: System design and infrastructure, developing secure applications, AI/ML integration, database and network management, cybersecurity, team adherence to SOPs and automation initiatives

SIDBI follows a three-phase selection process:

Phase I – Common Online Objective Test (200 marks, 120 minutes, bilingual)

  • English Language: 30 Qs – 30 marks
  • Reasoning: 25 Qs – 25 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Qs – 25 marks
  • Computer Knowledge: 20 Qs – 20 marks
  • General Awareness (Banking/Finance/Economy/Social issues): 20 Qs – 20 marks
  • MSME Policy, Regulatory & Finance Framework: 30 Qs – 30 marks
  • Stream-specific Test: 50 Qs – 50 marks
  • Total: 200 marks; Qualifying: first five sections; Merit shortlisting: last two sections only

Phase II – Separate for Streams

Grade A & Grade B (General)

  • Paper I: Descriptive English – Essay, précis, comprehension, business correspondence – 75 minutes, 75 marks.
  • Paper II: Objective + Descriptive on MSME Policy, Finance & Management, credit – 60 marks (objective) + descriptive (10 Qs, attempt 4; 2 × 15 marks + 2 × 10 marks) – 75 minutes & 50 minutes respectively

Grade B (Legal)

  • Paper I: English descriptive – same pattern as above.
  • Paper II: Objective + Descriptive covering constitutional law, statutes (Contracts, Negotiable Instruments, Transfer of Property, RTI, IBC etc.), legal drafting – 60 marks + descriptive questions (15 & 10 marks)

Grade B (IT)

  • Paper I: English descriptive – same pattern.
  • Paper II: Objective + Descriptive covering AI/ML, cybersecurity, full-stack dev, big data, network security, data warehousing, API integration etc. – similar marking and timing format

Phase III – Psychometric Test (if any)

Some candidates may undergo a psychometric assessment before the interview.

Interview & Final Merit

Final selection based on Phase II marks + Interview performance, as per bank ranking system

  2. Click on New Registration, fill basic details & receive Registration ID and password.
  3. Log in and complete the application form with personal info, education, experience, category, etc.
  4. Upload scanned documents: Photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration in the prescribed format
  5. Pay the application fee online via Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking:
  • ₹1,100 (Gen/OBC/EWS)
  • ₹175 (SC/ST/PwBD)
  • SIDBI staff: exempted from fee
  1. Preview and submit the application.
  2. Take prints of the system-generated application form and fee receipt for future reference
  3. Help/support is available via the IBPS Candidate Grievance portal (cgrs.ibps.in) – mention “SIDBI Officer – Grade A & B” in subject line.

Phase I Preparation

  • Brush up basics in English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge.
  • Focus on General Awareness, especially MSME policy, banking regulations, RBI frameworks.
  • Deep dive into the stream-specific syllabus: finance & credit for general, legal acts for legal stream, AI/ML or IT domains for IT stream.

Phase II Preparation

  • Descriptive English: Practice essay/précis/business correspondence. Time yourself and get feedback.
  • General/Finance Paper: Practice case studies, credit appraisal, terminology, recovery norms, MSME policies.
  • Legal Paper: Know key legal acts—Contracts, SARFAESI, IBC, drafting format. Practice legal reasoning.
  • IT Paper: Focus on system design, programming languages, networking, security protocols, ML basics.

Interview & Psychometric

  • Prepare for questions on MSME development, SIDBI’s role, recent government initiatives, your experience or projects.
  • Be ready to discuss legal judgments or IT case studies if applicable.
  • Practice mock interviews and control psychometric test response traits (e.g., adaptability, initiative, team orientation).

Can I apply for both Grade A and Grade B simultaneously?

No, candidates must apply for only one post. If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid entry will be considered; earlier applications & fees will not be refunded

Is work experience mandatory for Grade A?

Not strictly—freshers with acceptable academic credentials (CA, MBA, etc.) may apply; however, non-professionals require 2 years’ experience in banking/MSME credit

Can reservation relax age/experience criteria?

Yes—age relaxation is available in accordance with GoI norms. Experience requirements may also adjust for reserved category candidates

What if I upload unclear photo or signature?

Your candidature may be rejected if photographs or signature are unclear. Ensure high-quality images as per specification
